We Win GOLD!

Thursday, May 15th - A day we will remember! AaB winning the championship was very exciting. Danny and his team deserve it and proved it last night as they clinched GOLD. It was a great game, good weather, fun crowd, and lots of drinking involved. The kids had a great time running on the field and getting to "play" like Daddy. We celebrated by taking buses into town and driving around. It was crazy how many people were out celebrating on a Thursday morning, at 1:00am - almost 20,000 fans screaming and chanting USA, USA, USA at Danny! Danny is liked very much here and was told by many people they are sad to see him leave. Sunday, the 24th, Danny will accept the trophy and hand out the medals to his teammates... an emotional time for him, I imagine but a happy one too... ending the season with a GOLD Medal. We also found out that is the only time AaB has won 2 medals in a row - Bronze in 2007 and Gold in 2008!

Also, Danny has been invited to play with US MNT in England on May 28th. Keep your fingers crossed he gets some time.

Our Speech

My friend Henriette is a professor at a University here. She teaches English. She has been asking me to speak to her students for awhile and I finally agreed. I was a bit nervous but had fun. The students (130) gave us questions before hand, which helped a lot. I talked about our personal life, being a soccer players wife, what I thought of Denmark, taxes in Denmark, the weather, costs of things, healthcare in DK vs. USA, what Desperate Housewife I was most like, what I missed most from home, the kids, etc... Danny talked for a few mins on the more serious issues - politics, gun control, what type of underwear he wears when he plays, etc.. I also put a slideshow together which was fun to show - Vegas pics, pics of our Pine house, Danny surfing, our NY trip, Galaxy pics, etc..

Legoland Fun

Danny had the day off yesterday so we took a trip to Legoland (almost 2 hours away). The weather was great and the kids really enjoyed themselves. They could go on a lot of rides by themselves which made us really realize that they are growing up. It's hard to believe Paige will be 5 this year and Blake will be 3 next month. If you have young kids, it is a great place to take them... We really enjoy it.

Hats Galore

Blake and I went shopping at H&M in the city the other day and we both fell in love with this hat. He saw it first and said, Daddy would love me in this hat. He was so excited to show Danny. So, we had to go back and find Paige a hat. They both got a ton of looks as we were walking around. It was fun!
