The weather was AMAZING - we had such a great time. We drove the 2 hour drive which was not bad at all. We spent the first day in Central Park and let the kids play on the many, many playgrounds there. Seriously, there are so many!
Ground Zero Site. We were there in December 2007 and they have done so much work. We tried to explain to the kids the best we could but I was hesitant about saying airplane since we fly so much. The kids were great walking everyone - and we walked a lot. A taxi with 3 kids, a stroller, and a lot of shit - not going to happen. They loved the tall buildings, like me :) 
We were going to take the trip to visit Lady Liberty but as usual it was ridiculously long.
