Strasburg / Amish Day Trip

This steam train is only 1 hour from us. It was pretty funny because it was mentioned in the paper the morning we left. It was a sign we just had to see it. Totally kidding.. don't do "signs".
So cool to see the kids meet the conductor. They were so happy to have their ticket punched. He was super nice and cute too! There first steam engine train ride. Jude was too busy eating popcorn to care or smile for any pics.
I love this picture. They loved (just like me) seeing the buggys come by.
Typical Sunday for the Amish. Look at those haircuts (reminds me of Dannys bowl cute 15 years ago) and outfits.
We're definitely tourists and had to go on a buggy ride. Jude and Danny hung out in the warm car while Jude slept. Our driver used to be Amish (well still is just doesn't practice anymore). He obviously didn't realize my kids ages and just started talking openly how the Amish are Virgins until they are married, don't believe in birth control, etc.. I quickly had to change the subject. The Amish cut their beards til they are married and then let them grow out - like our wedding ring. Poor ladies. :(. For fun, he said they play Sorry! What? My kids play Sorry. Basically, they like the simple life. Oh, and when I asked him to take a picture with my iphone he had no idea what it was... wow!!!
